We are a small, private, self catering Cottage offering high quality accommodation in a spectacular setting, ideal for anyone wanting to stay near to the Ribble Valley, Yorkshire Dales or Pendle areas.

The Cottage has 3 bedrooms, one Kingsize Double room, one Twin Bedded room and one single bedded room.

About the Barn;

The Barn is around 165 years old and was built to store hay to be used for animal feed during the winter, whilst the animals were kept in the Shippon (the back section of the building) over the colder months of the year. The recent conversion from agricultural building into habitable accommodation has retained a few nice original touches, the old ironwork, door hinge pins and snecks in the walls, and the original roof trusses have all been kept and these make lovely exposed features in the bedrooms and landing.

It looks a little different now to how it was in 1941, the earliest date for which we have a photograph;

Although the main barn door opening is still exactly the same, the door to the right has now been shortened into a window to match the raised internal floor, and the large rectangular stone over that door/window can be easily recognised in both pictures.

By the way, we are told that the horse was called Blossom!
